Sidney Lee Tawney, 80, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed in peace at the Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg on October 5, 2018.
Sidney is survived by his brothers Donald (Joyce) Tawney, Wayne (Beverly) Tawney, Lawrence (Tonia) Tawney, Ricky Tawney, sister Judy Rotfort, daughters Wendy (Lawerence) Armstrong, Patricia (Shawn) Otto, Tracey (Russell) Brown, Jennifer (Ronald) Broady, and Michele Smith (David Burris) and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Sidney was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to everyone.
Sidney loved the outdoors, especially hunting, He worked as an industrial welder for over 30 years, but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his health. He spent his free time eating ice cream and playing with his beloved dog, Reese Cup.
A special thank you to the people at the Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg for their loving care and support during his final days.
A memorial service will be held at a later time.
